Sunbelt Solar is a Texas-certified electricity aggregator in Laredo that helps homes and businesses lower their electric bills by comparing licensed retail providers. We're locally owned, we've been at it for more than 15 years, and our service costs our customers nothing.

Laredo roots, lower bills

Sunbelt Solar was founded in Laredo by Evaristo Ortega with one goal: take the worry out of the electric bill. In deregulated Texas, the rate you pay depends entirely on the contract you sign — and most people have neither the time nor the market data to negotiate a good one. For over 15 years we've done that work for South Texas families and businesses: comparing offers across multiple retail electric providers, locking in low fixed rates, and handling every renewal so our customers never slide onto an overpriced default plan.

Why is it called "Sunbelt Solar"?

Fair question — and the honest answer is that the name is older than the solar boom. We do not install solar panels. We are an electricity aggregator and broker: we negotiate the supply rate you pay for the electricity you already use, through the same wires and the same meter you have today. If you're looking for panels, we're not your company. If you're looking for a lower electric bill, we are.

Certified and accountable

Sunbelt Solar LLC is a certified aggregator with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT Registration No. EL070029, since 2007), authorized to aggregate residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and political-subdivision accounts. We serve customers in English and Spanish — hablamos español. Our service is free to our customers — we're compensated by the retail electric providers — so our only job is finding you the best rate the market will give. And because we're owner-operated, you work directly with Evaristo, not a call center: one person who knows your account, your contract dates, and your usage.
